home alone

Dean left for Shanghai, China for four days yesterday. He's attending an IB history workshop there and was excited about his first trip to China.

Life has been busy with school and my university course starting again. This weekend I will spend finishing an essay that's due Monday! Joy joy joy.

Looking forward to next week when Mum & Dad are arriving for spring break. We plan on visiting Kyoto and hopefully we'll get lucky and see cherry blossoms. Fingers crossed. March 31st is currently the predicted date for the blossoms....
We have lots planned to introduce Mum and Dad to life in Japan. Should be a fun time. Stay tuned for photos.

Last night was my school's annual charity concert. The kids were amazing and did us all proud. Because I was responsible for the projection of background slides I had a front row seat and enjoyed watching the kids faces. Even the preschoolers had an act - they were adorable.
There were lots of tired teachers and children by the end of it! The teachers restored their sanity with free drinks at Outback Steakhouse afterwards!

Enough frivolity and back to my essay.....
